The Group’s Barberton Mines complex includes the Fairview Mine, Consort Mine and Sheba Mine. Together have been in operation for more than 100 years. These mines produce high-grade gold with an excellent safety record.

They are inviting students to apply for their bursary programme. Which is for the 2022 academic year.

Fields Covered By The Barberton Mines Bursary 

The bursaries are available for undergraduate studies in these fields:
  • Mining Engineering (BSc)
  • Mine Surveying (BSc)

What The Barberton Mines Bursary Covers

The bursary will cover the following expenses: 
  • Registration fees
  • Tuition fees
  • Prescribed textbooks
  • Laptop (for 1st year students)
  • Accommodation
  • A monthly stipend.

Documents Required For The Barberton Mines Bursary 

The following documents are required for the bursary programme. If you do not submit the required documents, your application will not be considered.
  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Full academic record, including most recent results, if currently studying (on institutions letterhead) (certified copy)
  • Proof of admission or acceptance to study at a tertiary institution, if entering 1st year (on institutions letterhead) (certified copy)
  • Proof of residence, not older than 3 months (certified copy)
