About INSETA and ISSF

The Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) has a main goal. Which is to increase the quantity and calibre of important and in-demand skills within the insurance industry. 
The Insurance Sector Student Fund (ISSF) Bursary Programme gets support from companies in the public and commercial sectors, in order to help reach this goal.

Expenses Covered By The INSETA ISSF Bursary Programme 

The following expenses will be covered by the bursary programme:

For Unemployed Students:
  • Tuition fees in full.
  • Textbooks, accommodation, and meals.
  • Tech devices like laptop or data.
  • A monthly allowance.

For Employed Students:
  • Tuition fees in full.

Eligibility Criteria For The INSETA ISSF Bursary Programme.

The following are the minimum requirements. If you do not meet the following requirements your application will not be considered.
  • You must be a citizen of South Africa.
  • You need to be in Matric in 2022 or must have completed it.
  • You need to be in an age group of 18-35 if you’re unemployed to apply or if you’re employed, you can apply at any age.
  • You must study or plan to study in a South African tertiary university.

Documents Required For The INSETA ISSF Bursary Programme

The following documents are required for the bursary programme, and you must submit clear copies of them along with your bursary application. If you  do not submit all the following documentation your application will not be considered.

  • A certified copy of your ID.
  • Certified copy of Matric results.
  • ISSF POPIA form (PDF). 
  • If employed, letter of employment.
  • Course Quotation on institution’s letterhead.
  • Your most recent academic record on your institution’s letterhead.
  • Registration proof from institution on their letterhead.
  • Registration proof from institution on their letterhead.
  • Certified copy of household income, death certificates if deceased, bank statements, and SASSA letter if receiving a grant.
