Assmang Manganese is a company that mines manganese ore at Black Rock Mine, Iron Ore at Khumani and Beeshoek Mines in the Northern Cape. They also happen to produce Manganese alloys at Cato Ridge works. The Black Rock Mine operations currently employs plus-minus 2500 permanent staff and plus-minus 3500 contractors.

Eligibility Requirements


  • The minimum qualifying level for Matriculants is a Bachelor pass 
  • Preference is given to learners from a financially disadvantaged background and in terms of the company's Employment Equity requirements
  • Preference is also given to learners who in the local community of Northern Cape. 
  • If you are already receiving a bursary or financial aid from another institution, you will not be considered. 

 Documents you need when applying


  • An updated CV amd supporting documents of achievements (identity document).
  • Recent academic record as well as an academic record of years of study completed thus far (where applicable) OR Matric school report of last written November/December examinations. 
  • Proof of current registration at University or Uninversity of Technology OR Proof of having completed Matric (Grade 12). 
  • Official Proof of residential address.
