Assmang Manganese is a company that mines manganese ore at Black Rock Mine, Iron Ore at Khumani and Beeshoek Mines in the Northern Cape. They also happen to produce Manganese alloys at Cato Ridge works. The Black Rock Mine operations currently employs plus-minus 2500 permanent staff and plus-minus 3500 contractors.

Eligibility Requirements
- If you are enrolled for full-time studies at a South African University or University of Technology you are eligible
- If you are studying towards a Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Technology, withim you 2nd, 3rd OR 4th year of study.
- A appropriate academic record with an average B-symbol and pass mark for all subjects, including final-year examination results plus admission to the University
- Preference is given to learners from a financially disadvantaged background and in terms of the company's Employment Equity requirements
- Preference is also given to learners who in the local community of Northern Cape.
- If you are already receiving a bursary or financial aid from another institution, you will not be considered.
