MultiChoice is Africa's leading entertainment company, They create and secure the rights to phenomenal content from all over the world. Their entertainment platforms are: DStv, GOtv, Showmax ad DStv Now. Which are used by 14 million people across 50 countries. 

About The Bursary

The MultiChoice Bursary Scheme for 2022 has opened its applications for the bursary. The bursary is worth R20 million and they aim to assist exactly 200 students. For the 2022 bursary scheme, ten of them will be funded by the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation - an organisation that invests in the future of South African youth -of which the head of the bursary ,MultiChoice, is a partner. 

It covers (but not limited to): 

  • Tuition Fees 
  • Registration Fees 
  • Accommodation Costs 
  • Annual Living Allowance

It is available to: 

  • Students who are in all years of study
  • Also Students who have enrolled for their first post-graduate degree that is focused on the STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

  • Actuarial Science
  • Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering
  • Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
  • Information Technology (AI and Robotics)
  • Data and Information Science
  • Digital Media Technologies

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be registered at a South African Institute of Higher Learning.
  • Meet the eligibility and qualifying requirements as indicated on the application form.
