The Qualifications For The Minopex Engineering Learnership

The following are the qualifications for the learnership programme:
Minimum Grade 12 with Maths & Science / N2 / NCV Level 4 with relevant subjects:

Electricians: Maths, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Electrical trade Theory
Fitter including Machining: Maths, Science, Fitter Trade Theory, Engineering Drawing
Plater Welder: Maths, Science, Plater Theory, Plating and Structural Steel Drawings
Rigger Ropesman: Maths, Science, Rigging Trade Theory, Engineering drawing
Instrument Mechanician: Maths, Science, Industrial Electronics, Instrument Trade Theory
Millwright: N6 / S4 Maths, Science, Fitter Trade Theory, Engineering Drawing, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory

Experience & Skills For The Minopex Engineering Learnership

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to work as part of a team and individually
  • Technical acumen
  • A valid Driver’s Licence will be advantageous
  • Applicants will be required to undergo and pass a medical fitness, heat tolerance screening, and any other assessment deemed necessary for the field of application
  • Candidates will also be required to undergo a psychometric assessment and panel interview for selection purposes
  • Candidates must be able to travel between Minopex sites for practical training purposes

Duties & Responsibilities For The Minopex Learnership

Learners will be required to successfully complete a structured learnership training programme and must be prepared and willing to train and work in the training centre, metallurgical plants etc.
Learners will be subjected to work under the close supervision of Qualified Artisans
