Career Center Officer : Rosebank College
Job Description
- The role of a Career Centre Officer is to ensure that the Career Centre Offices are equipped with information for students with regards to part time and full time employment opportunities and to ensure that all annual targets for are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Graduate Database is up to date to ease facilitation process of Career Coaching
- Ensure the uniformity of the Look and Feel of the Career Centre
- To ensure that Career Coaching targets are met
- To ensure that all coached graduates are captured on the system weekly
- To ensure that all success stories are collected for the month
- Reporting of GEP (Graduate Employment Placement)to the Campus Principals
- Report on competitor analysis
- Submission of weekly and monthly reports as per the stipulated 2022 dates
- Planning and execution of 1st year Orientation, Annual Graduation and Career Week
- To ensure that all current graduates are uploaded on the GEP system
- GEP presentation when required to do so at meetings
- To ensure swift integration on Campus and involvement with Campus activities
- To ensure that we have at least 6 Co-branding companies that have partnered with both Campuses
- Ensure the compilation of Graduate Database
- To ensure that the current GEP systems are updated regularly
- General staff management including conducting interviews and disciplinary procedures
- Conduct Career Coaching Sessions
- Planning and implementation of events; i.e. exhibitions, job shadowing, learner ships, internships, voluntary work experience etc., which promotes the services offered by the department
- Arrange guest speakers and manage logistics around this
- Schedule graduates for workshops where training and development needs can be addressed
- Market services of department to existing and new clients (prospective employees)
- Obtain job descriptions and company specifications for entry level positions
- Deliver presentation pack to prospective employers
- Ask and confirm that CV’s meet the expectations of the prospective employer
- Assist campus in growing their graduate employer data base by 50%
- Ensure that the campus’s database with complete details of Graduates is updated frequently by administrators; including
- Graduate’s new position, title and salary details
- Company’s feedback on overall impression of candidates presented
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in any of the following fields: Marketing, HR, Business Admin, Psychology, PR, or Sales.
- Min of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Managerial and Sales experience
- Presentation/ coaching experience
- Advanced computer skills are essential.
