Administration Internship Programme : Gaap Point of Sale Office

Job Description

  • GAAP Point of Sale is offering an Office Administration Internship Programme, where successful applicants will be given the opportunity to learn and work at the same time. The positions will be based at our offices in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • You must be geographically located in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
  • Contract duration will be for 12 months.
  • The Candidate will have a chance to expand their skills base, while receiving mentorship and coaching from the Office Administrators.
  • Once the programme has completed, the intern may be offered full-time employment with the company.
  • Assisting Admin staff with paperwork in respect of filing.
  • Maintaining all relevant files.
  • Liaising with relevant staff for SNT and accommodation arrangements.
  • EFT Recons to be sent to the Finance department.
  • Update all spreadsheets.
  • Email Standard Fleet for Petrol card orders/cancellations and faulty E-Tags.
  • Update GAAP Fleet disc list and complete form for new disc.
  • Petty Cash disbursement.
  • Monthly managers credit card reconciliation.
  • Assist with following up on sick notes and/or proof of Family Responsibility Leave.
  • Printing and compiling documents for new staff.
  • Following up on outstanding new staff docs.
  • Telephonic – prequalify potential onsite technicians.
  • Assist staff with retrieving documents from their files.
  • Assist with medical aid queries from payroll/ medical aid docs.
  • Assist with IOD forms when required.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Matric or equivalent certificate.
  • Must possess an Administration Tertiary Qualification (minimum of NQF level 5) or currently studying towards one.
  • Must be computer literate and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Good Listener, Effective communication skills and Telephone manner.
  • Must pay attention to detail.
  • Must be articulate with numbers.
  • Language proficiency in English (speak, read, and write) and any of the below.
  • Must be able to work fast and proficiently when under pressure while maintaining a calm, polite and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work seated for long periods of time.
  • Punctual, presentable, and Proactive.
  • Must have little or no working experience.
  • Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude and must be target-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Be unemployed (this should preferably be your first job).
