Laboratory Assistant (Matric Only) : MECS Africa

Job Description

  • My client is seeking a Laboratory Assistant with a matric certificate and 1 year of experience in a technical environment.
  • This is a one month temp assignment to start immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist fellow employees in other areas of the laboratory when required
  • Provide support to technical staff
  • Proper storage and sorting of samples in the receiving area
  • Split and remove white metal collars and remove white metal flashing from specimens
  • Transporting specimens from one station to the next in the laboratory
  • Housekeeping in area of responsibility

Requirements

  • A minimum of grade twelve with at least one year technical experience.
  • Attention to detail;
  • Aptitude for technical and maintenance work;
  • Good communication
