Duties and Requirements

  • Considers costs and suggests cost saving ideas within the mine.
  • Escalates risks to supervisor.
  • Follows standard operating procedures to prevent losses and damages
  • Operates the ore crusher in a safe and effective manner in order to meet ore production targets and prevent operation failures.
  • Adheres to mine policies and procedures and follows supervisor instructions.
  • Identifies faults and problems and stops the crusher in the e vent of a breakdown.
  •  Escalates issues and problems where necessary to ensure:
  •  Safe operating of the crusher;
  •  Cleanliness of the crushing equipment;
  •  Product size conformance;
  • Prevention of loss or damage to equipment, machinery or product.

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Crusher operating certificate.
  •  Drivers licence advantageous
  • 2 years’ ore experience operating a hard metals crusher.
  • ·        Manganese Ore processing experience is (advantageous).
